Hello,I played Fallensword 10+ years ago and became addicted to it for a time. I recently remembered it and was wondering if there are any more modern browser-based games that function similarly. Some of the things that really drew me in include:Buffs - It felt great getting buffs before leveling and also selling/giving buffs to guildies during downtime.Extensive item system - I absolutely loved the amount of items and the various ways to obtain them. The artwork was also fantastic.Events - Things like legendary events felt great, and the gear obtained from them was extremely valuable.Super Elites - This was probably my favorite system of all. Posting advertisements and then going SE hunting felt great, and was an extremely fun/risky way to make money.Combat system - Strangely enough I really enjoyed the combat system in FS.
It wasn't too involved and thanks to auto attack you could spend your stamina quickly when you didn't have too much time to play.So if you guys have any suggestions of games with similar systems please let me know.Thanks. Note: Possibly outdated opinion as I quit some time ago, but should still hold some merit as I do log in to check updates.I would not recommend DragonRip.
It has the beginnings of a very good idle game but has some, in my opinion, rather major obstacles to that:.A (very small) number of players make chat rather unpleasant whenever they're around. This would be fine in most games, but in DragonRip there is no option to ignore a specific player, and event notifications go into the main chat so muting the whole chat is not a real option.Despite in-game mechanics already limiting AFK times, there is also a random captcha. This makes it neither an idle game nor an active game, but rather an idle game that has to be stared at (but not played) actively.(Possibly outdated.) At the time I quit, the event system similarly encouraged 'engagement' with the game not by rewarding active play but by penalising looking away while it's idling with the fear of missing an event. Were these fixed, I could start recommending it to idle game lovers alongside Drakor, but as it is, my time is better spent on other games (both idle games that are idle and active games that are active).
